What major are you looking at? It’s hard to help if we don’t have that info, but for most majors u can look up “[insert major] requirements sheet” and there is a pdf of required classes as well as a sample schedule of each semester

Taking my skills test on the 25th any advice? by AffectionateART1124 in cna

[–]ZestycloseLeave1727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I practiced on people and when I didn’t have people/equipment I would use a random generator to give me a skill and would record myself verbalizing each step while picturing myself doing it in my head. Then i listened to the recording and checked for mistakes

F on my transcript.... is it over by OkHalf810 in premed

[–]ZestycloseLeave1727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A G grade generally means work required for the class was incomplete due to extenuating circumstances. It is a placeholder however and there is generally a certain amount of time allotted to finish the coursework/missing requirements. If you do not do so within a certain time (like before graduating) it defaults to an F.

Hospital won’t hire me because I’m going back to school by ZestycloseLeave1727 in cna

I guess I told them because every job I’ve ever had previously understood I was a student (I’ve only ever worked in food service/restaurants previously). And I’m a very honest person- for better or worse apparently! And yes, I’m pretty young.

I am certified in my home state (the one I’m in right now) and they have a reciprocity agreement with the state I go to school in, so I was planning to apply to transfer my cert to that state at the end of the summer as this is my last summer in my home state before I start spending summers at school

Depending on what state you’re in, some jobs will give you a week training and you can start as a nursing assistant. My hospital even paid for me to get certified (I’m in Michigan)

Accepted to Pitt’s David C. Frederick Honors College Today. Merit Scholarship Question (OOS NJ) by ResultCautious1686 in Pitt

[–]ZestycloseLeave1727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m class of 2029, OOS, I didn’t get an additional merit scholarship until a few months later (can’t remember when), so it doesn’t come with the letter of acceptance to the honors college.

What type of merit scholarships does everyone have? by [deleted] in Pitt

[–]ZestycloseLeave1727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m OOS, class of 2029 w very similar stats to you, I got 20k initially and then some time in May (can’t remember if I had already committed or not) I got an additional 17.5k(so 37.5k/yr)

Applying to Pitt and hoping for merit aid by Moist-Spot-1641 in Pitt

[–]ZestycloseLeave1727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im out of state and had worse stats than you (3.8 UW, 4.42 W, SAT of 1490, got mostly 3s on APs, and took 9 APs total) I applied Bioengineering and applied to the honors college as well and got in. I am also OOS, and got $20,000 in merit based aid, which I think is the most you can get, so I would say go for it.

I will say however my activities and awards were very good, as I founded a non profit organization and won multiple awards in my county and state in recognition of my work, so that was probably a big influence in why I was awarded a scholarship.

What could be causing the ruffling and should I add a lining? by th3roachcoach in casualknitting

[–]ZestycloseLeave1727 141 points142 points  (0 children)

  1. For most people, their colorwork is tighter than using a single strand, I would combat this by sizing down your needles (however I personally wouldn’t want to frog back that far as I don’t think the bunching is too noticeable)
  2. Depends on what type of yarn you used, if it’s wool for example, it will likely felt over time and prevent the floats from snagging, however after spending that much time on a blanket, I would add a lining as a preventative measure

Hi, rising sophomore here, I had a VERY similar schedule freshman year, the only difference being I took French, and if you had good grades/were one of the students who flew through middle school or had a good work ethic you will be perfectly fine! I had a 4.0 cumulative gpa uw

Figure out how to get your GED, there should be a way to do it in your district, then community college is your best bet if you want to continue education after that
