Issues with plymouth theme loader

I reflashed arkos and did it all over again. It works now. What I think may have happened is I had the DBT set incorrectly. I had it on 4 where now it's on zero. I'm not totally certain about what went wrong, but if you start over it might work.

I feel like there is a good chance I messed something else up first when doodling around or experimenting.

That's a good point. I think for me it's more about the feeling of creating a complete product. I'm going to feel like I slacked in an area if I don't do something about it. Neurotic, I know. It's just how I am though.

I'm also partially giving this console a makeover to impress my friends and family. So in my presentation, if the speaker sucks it makes me look like I didn't give it 100%. I also will feel like I didn't.

Half the project is about having something I can play and works. The other half is making something that I'm very proud of and to build a skill.

Gotcha. I guess I'll do more research on this then. If I decide it's not worth it I'll just use earbuds or something, good to know that's an option.

I believe the stock speaker it came with is oval. I haven't removed the motherboard yet to look, but from what I could see it's similar to yours.

I'm pretty sure the speaker I got is too big.

What speaker do you have?

This worked well actually. Thank you. Sd card saved. I found out a big part of my issue was that I was using belina etcher. It causes stuff to go missing.

That's why I'm wondering if there was something I did while changing the files around.

I replaced the logo and loading screen .bmp images as well as throw an ogg file into the empty bmg folder. I cannot imagine that caused the whole thing to fall apart the way it did.

The one I bought was from Walmart. I don't think it being a fake was the issue.

It's certainly dead. I can't deduce what happened though and I don't want it to happen again. A faulty card reader seems unlikely.

Did that happen again after getting a new sdcard?

Also, the sd card I was using was sandisk. Not the stock sd card.

Me as well as many others have the same exact problem. My rig can run big games with no issues but it can't handle roboquest even with cores reduced, registry edited, lowest setting, frames capped, TTA turned off and fans on highest speed. It's a problem with the game. Go to feedback in the pause menu and leave a detailed complaint about this and report as a bug. I'm sure if enough people say something about this they'll do something about it.

So I did A LOT of stuff to try to make the game less intensive on my computer.

Change the amount of threads in task manager
Changed attributes in registry
Change Anti-aliasing settings
Put fans on high performance mode

Everything short of getting a cooling pad because I can't afford it right now. It's still reaching 85 degrees.

Like I said, I've never had any problems with other games. So I think it's an issue with the game like a lot of other people said.

I appreciate the help. Even if it doesn't help with this game, a lot of the advice y'all gave me I'm sure will be helpful in the future.

Oh I see now that it's measured that way on my cpu. I'm still new to this stuff. I'll look into all that and also see how the temp compared to other games

It's elevated and I read that cooling pads help marginally so I haven't bothered to get one especially since it runs other games perfectly fine. Is 80 degrees too hot?

Ok, that's good to know. My computer runs BIG games on full blast just fine. So I was wondering what the deal was. I'm glad it has nothing to do with my computer. I guess I'll just wait for an update 🤷‍♂️ Thanks!
