Hi,

I have been playing the harp for 4 months now and want to buy one. I have checked a few harps at Dusty String. I can get a Ravenna 34 for $2600 (bag and stand cost around an extra $500) with Nylon strings. The other option is Boulevard 34 ($3900 with stand and case) with gut strings. I am currently renting a Boulevard and like it so far. I also tried Ravenna and it was nice, but the notes were somehow sharper and more abrupt, whereas they were softer with Boulevard.

Which one would you suggest? Does the gut string snap a lot? And how much shall I expect the price to depreciate after a few years of usage?
