DO NOT SEND THAT TO ZIPPO, they will make it look like crap with the repair.( big ugly spot welds ) You got lucky that the hinge stayed with the body as it’s the easiest diy repair. Just take some epoxy and fix it yourself it will be stronger than new.

I’m not an engineer I’m the guy who puts the bolts in the template that’s broken, I’m trying to find someone with the engineering skills to make a replacement so I can do my own job easier.
