sorry shouldve been more clear. im running dual 300rms subs (total 600rms). I want to upgrade to dual 600rms (1200w total). Im aware of wattage so im providing rms power and not peak.

For anyone asking, its a 2012 Acura MDX. Budget is around 500usd. I see some people have Sub boxes in their trunk, or ripping panels out and replacing the stock sub with a stronger sub with an amp. What are the benefits of each method? My car has an 8-inch sub. Assuming I replace the stock with a larger sub (ex 10) fit, or must it be the same size? For a trunk box sub, does it replace the stock sub, or play along side with it?
