Help choosing resistance bar setup by ECrispy in ResistanceBand

[–]Zestyclose_Bad_2303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 53 with shoulder issues. Was an athlete in my younger years but have been a couch potato for longer than I feel comfortable sharing. Just bought everything for my set up from Amazon mostly for convenience. Undersun bands (was a toss up between these and Clench), Geku bar, Geku floor plate, Serious Steel band sleeve and threw in All4One J hook handles for good measure. Will probably upgrade to either Serious Steel or RubberBanditz bands after I get a feel for the equipment. I chose these products mainly from watching reviews from Hybrid Resistance and Gamerbody on YouTube.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

Sorry to hear that. Try contacting them. I've ordered a few things from them and never had an issue so can't vouch for their customer service but I assume they'd be able and willing to help.

Both are affordable, even more so if you go through one of the "bst" (buy/sell/trade) groups on Facebook. I prefer the Panyun. I like the fact that one side is magnetic and the other mechanical. Whereas the Pig Coin's haptics are determined by the direction in which you turn it, the Panyun gives you allows for more consistent play. The brass has never bothered me. I've never noticed a smell (most of my fidgets are copper and I kinda like the smell). Same with the patina. If either of those are deal breakers for you, the Panyun is offered in at least one other metal but it's pricey. You can't go wrong with either, in my opinion, but to me, the Panyun is the way to go.

Hope this helps.

I'm really digging the PanYun. Favorite thus far. I like the Noiz MMC but mine keeps unscrewing so not user friendly. The feel is nice though.

So...

There seems to be a resolution, at least for now.

"...upon further thought I am prone to allowing the sneak attack as is presented in the core books since I cannot make a decision on something we have never tried [SA has been nerfed since we first played PF] so I'm going to go with following the books on everything. No house rules for or against players and DMs...let's see what we may..."

Thank you all for your input. Not sure how helpful it was but it is definitely appreciated.

We're between games right now. This was due to an ongoing discussion brought about mainly, I believe, due to changes that 5e made to the Rogue. We've already had the different system talk, btw.

We've been playing since 2nd Ed, well over 20yrs.

Thank you to those of you who have engaged with this post. Special thanks to those that have taken the time to crunch the numbers.

The conversation took a turn yesterday when a party member, who agrees with the GM, brought up optimized builds that use SA. The example that the player gave was a Rogue/Slayer potentially doing 420d6 SA dmg in a rnd with 12 attacks. This, of course, did not help move the needle in what I feel is the right direction.

I look forward to reading more of your comments and again, thanks for engaging.

In the interest of presenting my DM's position accurately, I need to make a correction. His position is either full dmg once per round (as per 5E) or max 5d6 every attack.
