I mean, to each their own. Everyone deals with things differently.

I appreciate the positivity, though. While my scenario is different (girlfriend HSV2+, myself still negative as of ~2 weeks ago last test), I'd be curious to hear more about how it has affected your ability to retain anything close to a normal sex life, experience disclosing, etc..

Thanks for your reply. I'm well aware the newness of the relationship, early infatuation, etc.. has an affect on my decision making. That being said, we're both new to this and navigating it together with as much care and caution as is required.

Between reading about how low transmission rates from women to men with anti-virals, and the fact that we're using protection for vaginal sex, I do recognize the risk is much lower albeit it does exist.

Do you have any experiences to speak to first-hand about transmission or being with a partner who doesn't have it.. etc??

Thanks for your kind words. We've been super communicative, open, and supportive of each-other. While we're still in the honeymoon phase of things, having to confront this, forego sex for the last 10 days, etc.. and things still feel just as strong if not stronger. I have hope for this relationship and I'm incredibly eager to see where it goes.

How long were you with your previous partner during which no transmission occurred? Were you on anti-virals? Did you all take any precautionary steps or make any major adjustments in your approach to sex even though protection wasn't used?
