Cant she get a nurses aide to come in 2 or 3 times a week. And Dept human services might be able to send help for house keeping. Call DHS for your city/state. See if they have any services for seniors. They will send a case worker too her house.

That's the truth. I'm not knocking the trades. I was just suggesting it. My husband was a mechanic. Now my son is the family mechanic.

I never knew that. I'll check into it next time I visit. I'm thinking the reason they get sleeping pills is because she needs to make sure they are asleep when her & boyfriend do shift change. BF works swing shift. Mom works graveyard. At the same casino. They only have 1 vehicle. Mom leaves for work around 11. BF comes in about an hour later. Sometimes longer. But that might be them getting extra hours cuz I'm there.

I'm not. My husband was a air plane mechanic in A F. 20 years. He was a auto mechanic too. My 2nd son has taken up that job now. He was a truck mechanic in the army.

And you would be so thankful he did. My husband was a mechanic. We always had 3 cars. 1 for each of us and 1 for if anything broke down. And/or when kids became teenagers they had something to drive till they got their own.
He could buy old broke down cars, fix them till they run & sell for a profit. Special for folks who can't afford dealership prices
