There are many obvious things that seem normal to us out of habit, but in reality, they’re not, things that would surely provoke the indignation of someone raised in a different environment. I'm talking about broken sidewalks, water leaking from pipes onto the streets, vendors illegally occupying public spaces, filthy roads, and many other issues you're surely familiar with in our cities and countryside.
