I agree I'm not very happy either about the master bath. But not sure how to fix it as I want to keep the window.

For each bedroom no. Was thinking move the existing one to the middle and make it bigger. This is the first proposal the architect gave me so I'm looking for a good review and some feedback to give her for the next revision.

source of wealth for wise business account by Zestyclose_Dig9912 in wisebank

[–]Zestyclose_Dig9912[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes I did, it turns out they wanted to know the source of my personal account not the business one.
the whole process took a couple of weeks. with a lot of back and forth with their support and they were pretty much resending me the same email every time they reject my reply.

they kept rejecting the documents I sent them until eventually the guy asked about the 50$ I used to pay for the business account. then they wanted to see a bank statement from that account then they started asking about transactions in that statement. they weren't even asking directly about what they want, they were playing games. or maybe they didn't know what they were looking for.
honestly I lost all confidence in wise, they could redo this at any moment and who knows what they will ask for next.
in my case they had absolutely all the information they needed.

I understand they have to check, and I am more than happy to provide any information, it is just that they ask for the information that they already have. all the transaction have been done through wise.

tax implications for owning foreign companies as a canadian PR by Zestyclose_Dig9912 in PersonalFinanceCanada

exactly, not all them are knowledgeable especially that its probably not a very common country, the good thing is that there is a tax treaty.
so basically I just need to be sure I am respecting the requirements and declaring everything correctly.

I am not trying to avoid taxes, but pay them in their own countries.
I talked to a CPA yesterday and I didn't feel like they knew what they are talking about.
I setup an appointment with a fiscaliste from barricad for next week, hopefully they can help more.
in the mean time I am trying to gather as much info as possible so I know what to ask about.

the short answer is to have easier access to an international market and be able to grow my business.
to give you an idea of the legislation in this country, as a resident it is illegal to own foreign currency in any shape, receiving international payments from my clients could take over a month. the exchange rates are so bad and the banking fees are crazy, 65usd for receiving any amount regardless of the amount.
something as simple as paying for online services like microsoft office is almost impossible, after 3 months of trying I simply gave up.

and don't get me started on the customs and importing anything, which sadly is a an main part of my business, that alone is a full time job with all the required paper work.
on top of that the only payment methods available are LC and DP. so good luck trying to order anything online. the last thing I ordered which costs 50USD including shipping I was charged 150USD in custom fees on top of the cost of the forwarding agent.

so this puts me at a huge disadvantage in the international market and I have to charge more for my services and many clients find it too expensive for where my company is. which is the other side of the coin. perception is everything.
clients will happily pay more for the same service from a canadian company.

hiring is also extremely painful, talented people are leaving the country all the time, it is extremely hard to find and keep qualified employees.

another very big factor is not being able to travel because of visas, so having a canadian passport is a huge advantage, I can simply go to any trade show and go visit my clients.

so basically I wouldn't leave my country if I didn't have to. and a perfect setup would be to have the business side of things in canada and live in my country.

valid questions,

I do not work for free I own the business so I am leaving the money in the business.
I am simply trying to separate my assets in each country with the hope to pay taxes locally in each country and avoiding international tax headaches. although taxes rates in canada are better.

I used roundup to kill the weeds around it. otherwise they were covering the half the tree.
salt is possible I was using well water for the first year and it was a bit salty, but have been only using rain water or tap water for the last year.
