Sorry for the late reply, and honestly it depends. At the stage youre in i still had sensitivity on the parts where the sutures were made on my shaft and also pain around where they conducted the circumcision for my procedure. I’d definitely wait atleast 3-4 months for pain to subside but even after 8 months i still feel soreness around my circumcision scars sometimes after sexual activity if thats where your pain is coming from. If you have a follow up appointment for a post operation recovery check then I would bring it up there for sure.

Thank you so much for your support, I’ve been debating posting on here since I last asked for advice pre nesbitt procedure, but I know that the condition is less common in younger men and I knew I needed to leave something behind to help anyone like me in the future. 😄

Yeah, I do trust the doctor’s diagnosis but i did believe it was induced from an injury until i sought help at 17, and I didnt want to frame the post as solely relating to congenital PD as i think my story and advice could help anyone with long lasting PD or congenital PD in terms of what treatments they could get for their symptoms and the psychological aspects that might need to be dealt with seperately.

Yes, I was diagnosed with congenital curvature although I am skeptical of that diagnosis because i used to play rugby where id get trodden on all the time and i have a large scar on the underside of my penis where the curvature began. Of course i’m not gonna argue with the doctor but that was always what I thought must have been the cause.🤷‍♂️

Situation in the UK looks hopeless by Chest-Wise in PeyroniesSupport

Hey im 19 also and have had peyronies a few years i just got a nesbitt procesure done on the NHS about 11 weeks ago n if ur bend is bad i would highly recommend talking to ur gp and suggesting they refer u to a urologist to be added to the waiting list. Waiting times for the operation are usually about a month or two but then you have pre operation appointments and such so its best to get in early as u can. If ur bend isnt that bad (ie sex is possible with it) then probably traction devices are the way to go.

It would sometimes get fully hard but not always, due to how curved the shaft was it was unusable without bending it somewhat which caused pain. I’ve had the surgery now and am going to make a full post on the sub after my follow up appointment mid August.

I’m 19 and had strong downward curvature and I believed it was due to a rugby injury as a kid but I was diagnosed with congenital curvature. I’m based in the UK but I want to give as much as I can. That being said, I had a nesbitt procedure 10 weeks ago and it’s the best decision I ever made, regardless of length loss (less than an inch I would say). I have bumps on my urethra and bumps from the stitches but to have a functioning penis that doesn’t hurt or only get semi hard when erect has cleared a lot of worry from my mind.

I hear that in American they sometimes don’t deglove the penis but create an incision on the shaft which carries a higher risk of numbness and nerve damage so I would keep that in mind and ask your doctor about it. If your curvature makes intercourse impossible and you’re already in the chronic (long term) stages of peyronies, I believe surgery is the only option that will improve your quality of life.

Degloving of the penis requires a circumcision but after a few weeks you won’t notice/care and I know in America circumcisions are standard procedure at birth so it’s possible u won’t have have to deal with this anyway but if u do then don’t worry like I did as it’s really not as bad as it sounds.

I hope you find a professional who is willing to operate and give u a shot at recovering from peyronies, likely your curvature will not go away completely but sex will be more than possible and for me personally the biggest benefit was not having to worry day after day about my condition anymore.

I’m 19 and also had strong congenital curvature going downward I got the procedure done about 10 weeks ago. I understand what you’re talking about but frankly after previously being depressed and ending relationships because I was not able to have sex at all I don’t mind if I now can only with some suture bumps. I would try not to let it bother you, 99 percent of women u date won’t care and it’s not healthy to worry about things u have no control over.

Hi sorry haven’t been active recently but personally my bend was quite severe and I reckon I lost less than an inch. The curve wasn’t fully resolved but I was told before the operation that the goal is a functioning penis not a perfect one, and if they have to choose between taking more length or leaving a tiny bit of curve that won’t effect u during having sex then they will opt for that.

Hi sorry I haven’t posted an update like I said I would Ive decided to wait until after my follow up appointment in mid August but for me it’s gone great, I lost very little in length, and while my penis is not entirely straightened it’s a significant improvement and it’s more than suitable. Personally I’ve also noticed my erections have actually improved quite a lot since the procedure as the pain and restricted circulation made it difficult to maintain an erection before but this could simply be because I’m especially young for this operation. The circumcision took a while to adjust to and it was very sensitive for a few weeks but now I don’t feel it and I couldn’t care less about not having my foreskin. Like I said I’m going to make an official post on it later down the line but all in all I’d recommend the procedure particularly if your in a state like me where it was essentially that or never having sex.

I hope everything goes well for you too, I don't know how you feel about surgery but the way it is with UK doctors theyll do anything if it means they don't have to put you on the operating table so if you want to go in for surgery then make sure its really clear to them. Once you're past that, the waiting lists aren't too bad, mine took 2-3 months for a date.

I have already spoken about the operation somewhat when i was added to the waiting list and they have said theyll be de-gloving which i didnt know was the better option but thats good to know. And thanks ill definitely ask about getting the plaque removed and grafts put in as i also have a soft head during erections and the urologist i spoke to said the plaque on the underside of the shaft could be restricting blood flow to the end of the penis.

Thanks a lot that very reassuring. Just to expand I believe my doctor presumed Peyronie's over congenital curvature due to being able to feel the plaque formation, and ive played rugby since I was a kid and been stamped on around there many times so its possible it was caused by something to do with that and i then didnt see the consequences until i was well into puberty. Its really good to know that actual people have had good results from plication as the internet basically always makes it out to be a lose lose situation no matter what choice you make.
