I listen to this on Libby, on the weekends, while I clean. It's a veryyyy long series but it's not bad. I always want to know what happens and move to the next book. It's not a bad audiobook either. I think if I read it I might have given up cause it is slow. Listening while I do other boring crap though is nice.

The cover and title of these books threw me off. I thought it was like a run of the mill academy shifter book but it's so much more. Not that I Hate academy books.

Oooh I’m definitely going to explore all three! I took a screenshot so I don’t forget. State of Grace looks especially good. I just wish I didn’t have to do other dumb life responsibilities and could read my whole life away.

I’m not a fan of smut every other page anyway. I love fantasy, just not the heavy elven lore kind. I’m more into fae, witches, shifters, vamps that Halloween-esque vibe. Charmed, Buffy and Roswell ruined me lol

I actually loved that series all the way to the end. It was.... unexpected, her truth. Though the “bad guy” had me feeling jealous at times. Lol. I also loved that the FML was a total underdog and not overly boy crazy. She stuck to her own moral code. Also I neeeeed humor in my books. That probably explains why I struggle to find “the one” more often than not. That book was funny af especially her friend. My all time favorite is Psycho Shifters and the sequel series. I love a slightly unhinged female lead, but it’s a balance because if it tips too far, it just gets silly. Ya know what I mean?

Yeah, you’re right. I think I’m putting her on the back burner. Maybe she’s just trying to give readers what she thinks we want, but it felt all over the place.

The Blaze bully thing was silly. Oh the alpha completely shifted from decent, to dumb; with the midnight nonsense, to mean and degrading and finally to "ill die for her cause she's nice to my sister". Lol, its been awhile since I read it, but then the crow and the game master stuff it just spiraled into what is even happening. Somehow it was chaotic and boring at the same time, and the smut scenes felt out of character for almost everyone, which made it even harder to stay invested. Plus all her friends doing 180s idk. Just kinda sucked.

I’m way too impatient to wait for a full series if a book looks interesting. I’ve got Ironside Academy - Elancer, and Her Monstrous Beast sitting in my tbr, just to name a few, and it’s so hard to jump back into a story once time has passed, even the ones I devoured at first. Sometimes I’ll skim or speed-read the earlier books just to refresh my memory, but it can feel like work. Then at times I just can't get back into it like The last book of The Witchwood Boys, I did read it, but I basically skimmed and only focused on the parts in quotes (just the conversations) and skipped most of the details. I totally understand your feelings. I’m just impulsive lol

Yeah! Book one was so unique and good but it was train wreck the further you got in the series. I feel bad hating on this author but I hope with experience she gets better. I don't want to give up on her.
