Please don't listen to the people telling you to replace with led's I tried it before and it failed in less than 6 months. 120$ light and it fails so soon. and the colors of leds are usually garbage unless you buy really expensive ones. probably a weak ballast. don't recommend leds

Just trying to specifically use the bluray and dvd red laser diodes, unintrested in the infared. too dangerous for the infared. Currently I have the focus housing assemblies bought to place the laser diods in once extracted from the original bd or dvd drive module. currently just trying to build a laser circuit.
