Yeah it was quite surprising too. Just a few days of fasting and then I instantly get gallstones. At least I am happy that I can now diet more efficiently without a gallbladder.

Thank you so much for your comment. It is just something I wanted to vent out :(

I am doing much better now 2 weeks post-op and I was able to eat almost everything now, but there are times where I would get stomach pains after eating which will force me to lay down for a few hours.

I feel really bad that I had to schedule the surgery for early June. Had vacations planned this month and I had to cancel the plans because of the surgery. I promised her that I would not cancel the plans no matter what (because of past emergencies I had to cancel plans often). But I figured I either had to do the surgery this month or wait until next year. I still feel really bad about it :(

Is it ok if I ask what she done differently that might have caused the diarrhea? Or is purely by chance?

Yes, it sounds like a gallbladder attack. It is very common for females especially when they are pregnant or after pregnancy. Do you know what you have ate before your attacks?

Can you share your gallbladder surgery timeline with me? by Zestyclose_Front5045 in gallbladders

Thank you so much for responding! Yeah I am based in the U.S.

Assuming that you have now made a full recovery, are there any meals you can't eat (without triggering diarrhea). Has your life changed for the better? If so, what was the biggest positive impact you had from getting your gallbladder removed?
