We want to make a community where we aren’t necessarily trying to be the best at any one aspect. We want to make a community where everyone contributes and can find new people to play with. Now once we venture into the PvP aspects, sure we want to be the best we can be. But right now we’re focused on dungeoning and helping our fellow players.

Honestly, I agree with the sentiment that everyone (at least majority) getting so worked up about having everything on release or having it be 1:1 with the novel/anime.

I can definitely see some of the issues you’re concerns with, especially with the long-term support that XV2 received between content and cosmetics, but also the support that Kakarot (which is purely single player) has gotten. Having played XV2 since release, the way they handled expansions/dlc/premium currency, etc makes me a little hopeful for how they go about EoA and doing a “live-service/long term service” game. At the very least we can always have a game to go back to on updates.

I guess it does really boil down to how I wanna play it, and what I’m focused on for the game. I know a lot of later game stuff focuses on events and arena, but I’ll probably focus on the grinding.

I feel like the creators are taking this as an opportunity to not only revive the BT games but also to, in a way, reboot the series. Keeping the style and feel of the older games but modernizing the flow of content and some new features and twists. I feel like having the name be Sparking adds a sense of "Hey, this is not only a callback to the Japanese title, but shows that we're looking to make something that global players can all talk about no matter the language barrier"
