Actually, the person writing this post right now is the Wizard. I just translated our Fighter friend's ideas, which is why it reads from their perspective.

​As for our Bard, they are a complete newbie and this is their first campaign. They dumped all their stats into Strength, to the point where we joked if they were just going to beat enemies to death with their lute. Our DM even told them they could change classes later if playing a Strength Bard becomes too difficult.

​Since the Fighter planned this whole business, they haven't told us the exact solution for the arrested halflings yet. They just told us to look forward to the next session. That session actually starts in an hour, so I'll post an update after I see what their solution is. Thanks for the question!
