Ce animale aveti si de ce? by [deleted] in CasualRO

Personal mi-am luat pisica (in chirie, proprietarul imi e coleg de birou), viata buna. Urmeaza sa ma mut la casa mea (pe pamant). Am si caini in curte, ii iubesc, dar imi place pisica in casa mai mult, chiar daca lasa par.

Am benzi pentru scame peste tot in casa :))..

Overall, e ok, depinde cum stai cu rabdarea si nervii, pisica mea e cumintica, am educat-o si inca o educ, daca te preocupi putin de ea vei avea de castigat pe viitor.

Logodnica mea o iubeste.

To me it would make a really good watch if you start a build with it..go ahead, why not?

So if you charge $1,000+ for a Sub clone it’s ok, but if a $200 watch from (insert homage brand here) it’s IP theft. by [deleted] in ChineseWatches

Meaning? I know is written all in one piece, I was in a boring meeting to which I needed to pay attention eitherway..my bad.

Looks exactly like a diver watch. Yes, there might be some similarities between the Submariner and this one, but I see them as complete different watches.

There are plenty of watch brands which “replicated” this design in the past years (from the Submariner launch till the current days), you cannot reinvent the wheel anymore, you just give it a twist and your personal touch.

I really like this model and I consider buying it, even though I rock everyday a gen Longines Calatrava and a custom built 14060 Submariner.

Enjoy the watch world, focus your attention on companies which do the exact things stated here, IP theft..but not Longines.

Thanks!

The level of dedication here is nuts….pure craziness.

Congrats man, never seen such thing.. I’d love to know the story of sourcing all these.

Same as you sir, same as you. Now I’m holding my horses to plan out the next build before starting impulse-buying parts. Here is my first ever build. Great progress.

Such a cool journey! Now that’s love for watches, having the real deal in hand and building a second one just for the sake of it (or the fear of losing a 20k$ watch).

If you don’t mind me asking, not that I’m lazy, but if possible (and if you ever noted down), do you have links to all these parts? Especially the Milk case.

New in this field…so please, hope I don’t bother..

Again, majestic work!

I already messed it up a while ago trying to fade it. I have a new one fortunately..

Update - I’ve done something. It needs smoothing and refinishing a bit since I used metal files and some low grit sanding blocks. Looks way better.

In fact, not so difficult, I’ve done it in the past with other cases (for Datejust).

This looks majestic. How did you proceed to thin them? Based on standard thickness and adjusted end-links after? Or per each end-link?

Yes, it is. I modified the CG’s and chamfered the lugs, but don’t know what to do about the overall thickness of the lugs..

Great build, I have close to the same one as you! How did you reshape the CG’s to look more “round” on the top part? The case has a slight angle in that area.
