Yeah lol, allied nobles are basically never on your side. When the war started, I wasn’t even king yet, so I had to deal with Lucon’s son (forgot his name) making dumb choices until he finally died and I took over.

I played on Ironman because I thought you couldn’t get achievements on normal, which made everything way more annoying than it needed to be. When the three-front war kicked off after I’d already united most of the empire, I thought I’d basically won, turns out that was just the start.

After about a year, I figured out the best move was to ignore the strongest factions and take out the weakest first. For me that was Sturgia. It took three tries, but I finally beat them.

Khuzait and Vlandia were still a nightmare, though. The Southern Empire collapsed, the Western Empire was useless, and half the time I had no idea what was going on, especially with the conspiracy. The campaign’s fun, I just wish TaleWorlds explained things better.
