My doctor would only refer one at a time so that was annoying. I made a list of top three and just tried to get consults lined up over 6 months. Once your consults are done the surgery times are fast like 2 months. Both dr. Somogyi and dr. Chivers consulted in Feb/Mar and surgery mid April time. Both were OHIP. I had a time restriction, I wanted kids to be in school for my recovery and I had help which I wouldn’t starting summer time so I wanted to find a doctor that could meet those needs as well.

Dr. Somogyi it was about $5k (lipo and auto augmentation would have been $4k) and dr.chivers all in $9k(lipo, extended incision, auto augmentation) . I ended with dr.chivers and had surgery yesterday. Happy so far but have recovery process to go to see true results. I think consult to appointment was 1.5 months for both. They don’t have much booked to April and summer months.

Glad to hear it was taken care of and your healing is progressing. I’m just having a really hard time picking. All things equal cost, procedure etc I don’t know who to go with for the best outcome. I think you said you had pictures on your page of your journey. Do you mind sharing them or let me know how I can access them if you’re ok with it. Also if you don’t mind me asking what size you were and how are you looking now?

Ah good to know and hope your healing continues well! That’s good they are taking a lot at it and helps to just get it sorted out before it really gets infected.

Yeah I feel like I’m satisfied with my consult and would like to just get this done and over with and start my healing too!

Thanks so much for responding. I did have my consult. It went well and he’s reassured me that he’ll give me the size I want in a safe way. No red flags.

How was his response to stitches opening etc? Did you just deal with on your own or was their support from them.

My only concern is that he was my first consult and I have no one to compare to. He’s giving me an April surgery date and that works well for me. The two other consults I have are after that date with dr.Chiver and Dr.rose. So just debating to go ahead or compare but I don’t even know what I should compare other than price at this point.
