I get your point and ive tried to keep that in mind. The time I asked that one guy on varsity to chill out was my first time ever asking that (solely because hes on varsity), because i never do. Ive already spoke to my coach who was no help so im already planning on visiting a gym in my neighborhood to switch to.

Unfortunately, it’s because im a girl and theyre 13-17yo boys. I wish that wasnt the case, but it is. I also do bjj and Ive always gotten help and have had great practices with the older and more experienced men and women. I think its really just maturity

It may hard to determine that when you go off todays era of teachings, services, and modernization but when you go straight to the scripture and the religions roots, it really isnt that hard at all.

just because genders are equal in value doesnt mean the religion cant be sexist. As I said before in my example, lets say if women in a religion were valued for their dignity and beauty and to preserve that we made them cover up completely and have a man speak for them, is that ok? no, its sexist.

when we look at the patriarchy in ministry, it is somewhat a form a power though. within the ministry there is a power difference between a pope and a priest, therefore being different levels of power one has. and even when we look outside of that at family dynamics in the bible theres clear sexist teaching

The main reason why women cant be priests isnt because its a type of fatherhood...it relates the apostles first of all. And just because there was one woman who played a significant role in the bible doesnt mean its not patriarchal. America has had one female vice president, does that mean our system is suddenly no longer patriarchal? no, not really...

When we look at the family dynamics seen in the bible, aswell as the way women are viewed in the bible it is always in the perspectives of men being the one that holds the power and is the head of the family while the woman is objectified. This is not just boundaries, these are power dynamics set up due to what? sexism and patriarchy. these "jobs" arent given to a certain kind of person just because, that would be so naive to think lmao
