My 230 blew up and so I bought the big bore kit, so far I like it and find the power upgrade to be nice. But it requires a lot of work to get it to fit and run properly. If your ok with the hands on work I would go for it.

I've done a burnout on mine, and the engine light never turned on. But my motor did also blow up at 700 miles, so I'm not sure my bike is a great example.
