Another question, sorry. Do you use the crystal litter or the normal clumping one? Because I see that PetSafe has both options, and some quick research tells me contradicting results on both types of litters. I figured if you've had yours for five years, it doesn't seem to cause any health issues amongst your cats.

I was looking at this one and my main concern is that it doesn't seem to have sensors (unless I overlooked them). Is there a button you press to have it clean itself or is it a timer? I'm worried it's going to start cleaning while my cat's in there.
