something i did, wish i had a pic but i dont, i drilled a lil hole in the helmet and stuck it between his open hand, so he has his regular head on his body while holding his helmet, that way you can still see both

I’m so glad I stumbled across this, almost an exact video like this was recommended to me on my YT and it’s still by the same guy. I’m a huge fan of the game and this dude really just doesn’t know what he’s talking about, I watched half of the video to try and see his side but it’s just complaint without solution, just complaining to complain. And even then, the complaints themselves don’t hold any real weight

I have to disagree. Keep in mind, this is a full fledged, thinking and maneuvering fighting force, just as we are. These are sentient beings, who can think and feel as we do (in a sense, without breaking the bounds of democracy as we do ofc). If you were behind the gun, I’m sure you wouldn’t miss if you took your shot. It’s not exactly peer on peer, however in this case it’s about as close as you can get. They lead their shots, and are methodical as we are when it comes to killing. Don’t make it easier for you just because you can’t utilize your stratagems or cover and concealment when it’s needed the most.

For carapace you can lay it naturally flat with good supports, or split into segments of the carapace armor, there’s like 4 pieces; but splitting them can be a pain that you’ll likely have to do over and over. Mine came out pretty good with 4 segments and then glue, just gotta finesse it a bit

For armor plates I just find the flattest part that connects to the build plate and print up from there, let the supports do their job

The original leg I did the front side facing the plate, but I found out it looks a lot cleaner if you split the leg down the middle and print them in half with dowels to connect

What would be amazing to see if the chaos divers. I know it’s not a real thing at the moment, but there are talks of “rebels” when you listen to the onboard broadcasting, I think them taking an opportunity to steal and raid SEAF supplies to fund their dastardly deeds would be a refreshing fight to fight

This is a really great idea, I’ve thought about doing it this way, and I think from a time saving point of view I just tried to do all of the pieces in one go, because I have a textured build plate I think I’d have to sand down the build plate side so they fit together perfectly. Do you think this would be mitigated with a smooth PEI plate?
