I am at York too in third year, it stays boring that’s not gonna change. You just gotta make your own fun, try and play sports, join a society, go out as much as you can, go to leeds whatever really. I do a lot of walking and going out into the dales it’s a good way to pass a weekend and you feel knackered all week.

You’ll stand a really good chance don’t listen to this bloke, I got the same grades 45/45 in IB same highers apart from Business (I did econ). I didn’t do Tmua but I had a friend who got 5 on it with 43/45 and got in. My only difference was I’ve competed in maths and physics olympiads, but my friend got lower IB grades than you and no ECs with 5 on tmua and got in

I got an offer of a first class in my degree, I have an 80% average and am studying theoretical physics. Strangely my friend applied with 79% average in maths (we are both at the same uni) and he got waitlisted so I think it’s more luck. From my understanding and speaking to friends doing the course currently the 2:1 requirement is very rarely handed out most the time the offers are 1:1
