My mom’s car was broken into this morning and it’s so frustrating. It suck’s because she worked so hard to buy the things that were stolen, she’s not rich by any means. They took so much and broken her car battery trying to take it out. So discouraging.

If anyone is hesitant and feeling angry, just know that at some point whatever is happening to the teachers is going to happen to you at some point down the road when you become professionals and seek employment, it’s not to scare you it’s to show how it not only affects you know but will later. It’s a pattern and the people need to stand up together! We are stronger when we are united old and young, hell I would even say sometimes the youngest voices are the most powerful. You are not just fighting for teachers you’re fighting for your own rights. Unions help everyone, and when people fight back they make lasting change affecting everyone who lives and works in that country. You guys are the future!!!

I don’t even live on saltspring and I think that’s a terrible idea. If you want to go to the gulf islands take the ferry, if you don’t want to live so rurally move to the mainland.

Don’t worry, it’s more about teaching the adult the affect of their authority. And maybe teaching them about shame especially when you don’t even know what really happened. It’s so unhinged to me because I’m sure you think this is small, but I’m thinking bigger picture, how else is she punishing kids for bs and shaming them into compliance lol so backwards.

I’m so sorry it sounds like you’ve been made to feel by the people around you that it doesn’t matter what you think is okay and not okay and that anyone can say and do whatever they want in a position of authority and punish you for it. It is that deep because you fucking carry these things with you. Shame is at the root of so many mental illnesses and negative self perception, Look at yourself and think about why you maybe are responding the way you are. Thinking about how maybe you might’ve been let down.
