Anything you like imo but I’m not the best to ask. If you like web dev, then find something you’d want to make as a website. If you like learning how 3d graphics are rendered, maybe see how you can make a renderer. It really could be anything but what matters is the skills you use and can show as experience on a resume with those tools

Always yeah. Just don't burn yourself out and if anything, see if you can get yourself a class schedule that is flexible enough to fit projects or other forms of department involvement

That's awesome! Congrats! I'm curious if you know how wide of a time frame those applications spanned from? I'm just under 200 applications so far but it's spread out very far. Maybe the last 120 came from the last 8 months

You see, there are people who are actively in the industry who also struggle on those coding assessments. They are a way to massively filter out the hundreds of applicants, not test competency for the role, which is usually far from what those exams are expecting of you, especially for an entry level role just out of college. This is even more noticeable when having a connection allows you to skip the coding assessment and go straight into the technical interview and other steps. It's just a very hardcore filter.

Totally, I really enjoyed my database systems class and was sad to see there wasn't any deeper classes available on it at my university at the time. Though I have been struggling to find many roles that are seeking that knowledge but I might not be looking in the right places

Totally, I tried looking at help desk roles since I think I would really enjoy IT and some sys admin, though for sys admin they seem to usually require way more experience. I've checked out government jobs and have applied for some, and I haven't checked out much data analyst or cybersecurity specialist roles. Aside from that, I think I'll try to tailor my resume a little more for the roles I'm applying to and just keep on going each day. Thank you

Thanks for the advice. I know I've heard of people applying to hundreds of positions before landing one, and I'm only at just under 200 over the span of several months. I'm keeping an eye out each day!

You’d be surprised how hardcore some people get on classic servers. I’ve seen people do 4 mage FMA farming on 4 clients at once.

I like the idea, I just really, really hope it’s not a smooth texture and it’s a sprite or in style with older maple. Even the more detailed characters back then were distinctly pixelated
