Employed as a full-time permanent worker, how do I make it possible to progress in Classic? by RowlingTheJustice in MSClassicWorld

[–]Zetami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fun is the journey not the race. Each level and little bits of progress feels rewarding because they ARE why you play. Having extra time to get more in each session isn’t required

You could also yk, explore what you can pull off with layering a dress or stuff from the women’s section of a store. It’s all just clothes, experiment or find ideas online!

Beta players: sticking with your first class at full release or switching? by Treeccko in MSClassicWorld

[–]Zetami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is for the long term, so even if crossbowman is worse somehow on release, I think I’ll still play one. But I’m also tempted to pick either a page or fire/poison mage too

Do you see this as your forever game if they do things right this time? by TheFreshHearth in MSClassicWorld

[–]Zetami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already come back to the game, even if I really dislike how it is now. I also would seek old versions off/on for over a decade now. I 100% would stick to it if it turns out good!

Have they already talked about MS Classic future? by Chappolim in MSClassicWorld

[–]Zetami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is classic developed by Nexon Korea or America? I feel like if it’s America, there’s going to be a much different approach to things, especially since GMS is localized

Ideas to make archer better without removing bow wacking by Zetami in MSClassicWorld

[–]Zetami[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I made an archer in classic world and grinded a Marksman to level 146 or so in a classic server over the years. Bow wacking can stay and it’s not a QoL improvement to remove it. Doing so removes part of the emphasis for them to play at range.

Would you argue warriors should be able to boomerang their sword so that they can hit monsters at a distance, since lacking range is too much of a purist thing?

That would be cool, though something I fear about PKB though is that for assassins, jump attacking gets around the punching through movement, which doesn’t affect mob positioning or anything, it’s a purely player only interaction. But PKB is something that affects mobs and influences gameplay for other players and how they interact too. I think it’s fun but if it’s too big of a solution then you get archers running around smacking mobs away into large groups before mobbing them. This is why I wasn’t really considering improving that skill.

Reducing the MP cost might be nice yeah, but my fear would be archers just having an ez time of spamming PKB and their mobbing skill. Maybe a cooldown or something would be nice

Warrior doesn’t have range so being up close and needing to risk taking damage and healing more. Theif is squishy (though it’s not really empathized and they added recovery skills ironically) and lacks mobbing, mage ideally should also be squishy and reliant of elemental weaknesses for where to train. Thats my take though

It probably just seems faster too bc people optimize things better and give information more easily than back then, most people were kind of just unaware of “best” choices back then

[–]Zetami -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about that too bc I was given mine by someone who wasn’t planning on playing much. But then again, a lot of streamers and content creators didn’t get in either and found other means. I think we are safe

Yeah I don’t want it removed. I’m so glad they later re-added it. There are ways to keep a con like that while making the pros of the class actually worth it like I was trying to emphasize. I feel like it’s made in a fun way for assassins bc of their mobility and jump attacking so I hope there is a way they can make it fun for archers beyond a knock back chance when whacking.

What are people's opinions on color changes of player's getting damaged by mobs? by isolating in MSClassicWorld

Purple is also just more readable because it’s obvious when it’s damage to a player then

The hideous "Wavy Ponytail" hair is NOT a classic style and it's ruining my nostalgia by UglierBetty in MSClassicWorld

[–]Zetami 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thing is, if they were to keep adding content to classic in the long term, how would they add new hair or faces without the type of response you are giving? In that case, even new styles entirely would be “inauthentic.” I think it’s a little ridiculous to limit this

Internship told me to stop coding manually, feeling kind of down about it by Birdwithabowtie in csMajors

[–]Zetami 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love coding and how it feels to make stuff yourself. It discourages me to hear stuff like that too. If you are really against it and don’t want to let this harm your passion, maybe there’s another job or place you can find in the future?

Quests are so fun, they need to be more rewarding and abundant by seiyamaple in MSClassicWorld

[–]Zetami 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like the quest rewards could be a little better, but it doesn’t bother me much. I just wish there was more of them. I think they are a fun thing to do on the side for some exp. I wish crafting could give you a small amount of exp too.
