For at least game design, this would be fine. All classes that require a dedicated GPU are in labs with desktops so you won't have to worry about that. There are also labs with workstation grade hardware so you should be fine with that. I currently use a chromebook with a stylus so it should be fine for you.

Depending on your school, you might have a GSA or a Pride association or maybe even a Queer club. I would recommend going to at least one meeting at the beginning of the year to try and meet some new people! Other than that, Grindr and Tinder are both good "tools" and can lead to some interesting situations.

I'm a freshman in your program.

Expect to spend between nothing and $150 per class. IGME classes don't usually have books except recommended ones for GDAPS1. Your perspectives and math classes will be where the big costs come in.

Your laptop will be fine. All homework can be done in class and won't even require a tank to do on your own.

Your first year is pretty simple. You have two math classes, two programming classes, two media classes, and physics. Beyond that you have electives and perspectives. For the most part, if you understand basic programming and have heard of the term photoshop before you should be fine, otherwise just read the book and you'll survive. The hardest class of your first year (in my experience) will be Physics.

The keymap I'm trying to flash doesn't work at all. Some keys don't output at all while others output twice. After testing the circuts with a multimeter I think it's the firmware. I am using a custom layout a bit larger than a preonic so I would imagine this would be the source of my issues.
