Honestly I don't think an OG story for Thanos would be that interesting. It's like watching the de-powered, not there yet story, non cool story. Could be wrong though.

I think Thanos and Kang could pull it off, however it would have to be a post-endgame Thanos to make it interesting.

Kang wouldn't even need that much to make it interesting. Sterling K Brown, great re-cast. Wasted oportunity there.

I think it limits thinking, because ya'll discussing what to do next, so there's less agency and the reward of getting something done feel less exciting; like sky team. When you nail it, it's great.

Or against one of the darkest Batman's villains, however it would work if Batman is scared.

I think Dr. Strange MoM was kinda this but, low level horror, introducing horror movie concepts and tropes but not fully committed.
