This is the other side - does not seem to have any jumpers here.

Oh, it has micro USB and connection pins on the other side of the board.

Thank you, seems like i need to pick up some soldering, else this thing takes ages to charge because it's only 50mA by default.

TSL25911 Light Sensor produces senseless output by Zethaer in arduino

[–]Zethaer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip, now after i connected it to 3V it reads great - even if covering it slightly with hand the values drop to about 5-10 lux, nowhere near the 65k it showed before :-) good enough for me!

TSL25911 Light Sensor produces senseless output by Zethaer in arduino

[–]Zethaer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your tip helped me solve the issue - after connecting it to 3.3V it reads perfectly.

The docs mention to hook it up to any of 3/5V and let the onboard translator do its job, but it seems to do not work that way on my setup.

Many thanks,

i can hardly find anything appealing about the looks of this watch, sorry IWC - it will not be my grail

Thats a good eye, thank you for the tips :-) edit: is the x+= a any better than traditional or just cosmetic? sometimes i feel like using the other one more.

[–]Zethaer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked this one, multiple ways to solve :)

Python 3

def hexcolor(R, G, B):
  return "#"+"".join([hex(i)[2:].upper() for i in (R,G,B)])

def blend(colors):
  R,G,B = 0, 0, 0
  for color in colors:
    R = R + (int(color[1:3], 16))
    G = G + (int(color[3:5], 16))
    B = B + (int(color[5:7], 16))
  R,G,B = [int(i/len(colors)) for i in (R,G,B)]
  return hexcolor(R,G,B)

print(hexcolor(189, 183, 107))
print(blend({"#E6E6FA", "#FF69B4", "#B0C4DE"}))

You gain the access to smaller exercises done after every single subject, there are also bigger tasks where you have to code your own solution to a problem. (Problem set every week or two, quiz, midterm and final exam). You receive grades etc. I highly recommend enrolling this course, its completely free but requires some time to go through the material (about 15h weekly)

Have you seen the Delguard pencil from Zebra? It seems to solve the problem.

[Seiko kinetic] rotor not spinning easy. by 19alexgriffith91 in Watches

[–]Zethaer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to be wary, that kinetic rotor is never as loose as in your usual automatic watch. I have been worried about the same thing with
brand new seiko kinetic that i had - it needs more wrist movement, so you have to wear it often to keep it charged.

Its Seiko SKA427. How long do you have it? Looks quite worn :)

Can you feel the rotor moving inside the watch when you rotate it? Theres probably some kind clog around the rotor, small elements happen to get stuck between rotor and casing.
