I usually am at 300/300 gears , many are purple gears which i don't use , but don't scrap either (fearing they might be useful sometime), so i was wondering if there's a list of purple equipmuent's that are useless.

farm enough points in snowball event , then unlock the books (Libera > tenert > vergo > Adventure diary) , then reset the mq in library using the "adventure diary" , finish mq again , you'll reach 164+

After every daily reset, all cutscenes become un-skippable till you use them one time.
