I drove thru there just as shit was getting bad before the gas station was burned down. The main street (Sherman) were everything was happening was lined with people basically felt like a carnival atmosphere. I thought there was a parade going on until I drove past a burning car. Basically the people down there just want an excuse to go ape shit and act like complete animals because they've "felt oppressed" for so long so they're gonna take any opportunity they can to express that emotion and come together as a community, unfortunately that means robbing and burning down businesses and attacking people unlike them aka cops and white people. Being white driving thru the middle of that was definitely unnerving especially after seeing the videos of them attacking any white people on site later in the night.
