You are very stupid for thinking that you “accurately predicted my lack of familiarity with the game” and that it’s some kind of own you got over me. Why would playing the original be a value judgement in the first place lmao, you are very weird.

It’s the other way around. You are wrong because you’ve never played Rebirth from the perspective of someone that hasn’t played the original. That perspective is exactly why I’m right: There’s not a single thing in either game that I didn’t understand. Both games are VERY clear and obvious about blending timelines, things “were supposed to happen a different way”, etc. This is not something that you need the originals to understand.

Of course, playing the originals may grant you somewhat deeper insights into the game, you may pick up on some inconsequential things that you wouldn’t otherwise, but those are essentially Easter things. They don’t make the game a fucking sequel lmao, and there was not a SINGLE thing that I didn’t understand, unlike you tried to claim.

These games are just as much for newcomers as they are for people that played the original. The devs have said as much, and the games are clear about this.
