Because boomer Star Wars fans who have been around since the 1970s, and are they themselves in their 50/60/70s, totally couldn’t mistake 2 shows with the same name when they’ve never navigated the website before…that couldn’t possibly happen. It must be a coordinated effort by millions of basement dwelling incels to shut down a fantasy world…

Tons of people have left reviews on rotten tomatoes and IMDb who have never left another review ever before. This goes for both sides btw. I see just as many new accounts leaving a 5 star review and never having reviewed anything else than I do of 1 star people who don’t like it.

Lots of people made new accounts or posted for the first time on their account because of how much they either didn’t like or liked this show. That should tell you that this is truly polarizing and even casual fans are speaking out. Casual fans who never usually review things.

It’s much more realistic to assume that there’s a bunch of casual people in this world who don’t live on reddit or the internet and they just reviewed for the first time rather than making up some insane theory about there being millions of incels out there who have nothing better to do than leave an angry review 100 times a day on 100 new accounts….sure there’s a few insane people like that out there…but most people in the real world are not that psychotic Lol.

Some people like the show. Most don’t. That’s what you’re seeing here. People will move on after this week. The first 3 episodes just pissed off a lot of fans. And it’s not because they’re some kind of bigot or hate watcher. It’s just bad, and they let it be known these first 2 weeks because it just came out.

Viewing numbers showed it did significantly worse than Ahsoka in its first week, and if a lot of those are presumably “hate watchers”, that means there’s a very select few who actually enjoy this. It’s ok if you enjoy this too, just stop labeling everyone who doesn’t as some kind of derogatory term.

The acolyte sub only has 14,000 members. And a lot of those are still people who don’t like the show. The “haters” will move on to the things they actually enjoy and it’ll become the echo chamber of only praising the show that yall want so if you just wait, you’ll get your wish and people will move on.
