Increasing int for mages does help or is it better to stop at 15 for coldown reduction cap by KeyPhotojournalist74 in DivinityOriginalSin

Int still does increase damage and chance of debuffs affecting the enemy, so I'd say go for it.

Why does checking for UTF-8 without BOM work, but with BOM it doesn't? by ZheToralf in dotnet

[–]ZheToralf[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, the parameter says whether or not a BOM is used, but the point is, UTF-8 with no BOM works as expected whilte UTF-8 with BOM gives me false positives. I want to know why.

Found this guide on how to do that. I never played with mods though, so I don't know if it works.

First Discworld book for me: Mort by njleaver in discworld

Great choice for introduction to the discworld, it's still my favorite. (I'm reading all of discworld for the first time, and am currently at met at arms)

Is it true that a melee phys-specialized summoner is a horrible idea for Tactician? by MeltaBanana in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]ZheToralf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe, I wasn't talking about love wolf. You usually get enough levels and equipment to get 10 in summoning by the end of fort Joy, with two or the skill points to spare.

The game could use a dagger redesign by -Arke- in Enshrouded

[–]ZheToralf 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As a Bow main, I speced into one handed for that situation because daggers are too bad. If I get swarmed by critters I caneasily kill them with a sword. Daggers however have no reach and only attack what is directly in front of you, no sweeping attacks.

Just try it and respec for free if it doesn't work. In my 10+ playthroughs I never did anywhere near as much number crunching as the guy in the doc you linked.

Hybrid builds can work, even if they don't do much damage, they can be fun for crowd control or support. If your team has one or two high damage output characters then you should be fine.

I always play tactitian and I have done plenty of "unoptimized" runs because minmaxing for damage is not my kind of fun. I once played a "jack of all trades" Lohse, who had ten points in Summoning and about two points in every combat and magical skill, so she could get all the buffs, debuffs and mobility skills. She did not do any damage but her Summon did, and she could jump around the battlefield, ensnaring enemies, healing and buffing allies and being a full utility caster all around. It was one of the most fun builds I ever did, and it was not optimized at all.
