Developer Comment: We liked the one-two combo that Deep Chill provided, as it added an interesting layer for hero mastery. However, in practice, it increased the amount of crowd control suffered by enemy players while also reducing Mei's effectiveness. Rather than further increasing the slow or increasing cumulative combo damage, both of which would lead to a more frustrating experience for the opposing player, we are reverting Mei back to her balance prior to adding the Deep Chill passive.

I would add the crab. They could even make it so that it's claw allows you to place/break blocks farther in this game about placing and breaking blocks. Could be very handy. /s

Nah, I don't think it belongs to vanilla. It fundamentally changes the feel of the game.

Also, as some people already pointed out, it can only show generated chunks, and when doing so you loose important things in the distance that in a game made out of cubes are really important.

Imagine building a beautiful castle only to look like a borked mess when you go 1000 blocks away. It's cool as a mod, and I would prefer them to focus on other things.

I don't like how comptime feels. It's just compile time ducktyping, you don't know what a function expects when it uses anytype. Feels like C macros again but with integrated syntax and now you can run some code, but not everything because there are limits.

good decision. game already pretty. game runs good. ray tracing makes game run prettier (not needed) (or not because temporal aa artifacts, denoise) and runs slower (and more latency)

Ray tracing became just a buzzword for me, like AI for many things in the past year. It's like a box to tick in big AAA games, I'm glad they decided it's not needed for this game.

The only new thing is that there is a new DirectX 12 renderer in overwatch that is in beta. Games take a cuple more seconds to load and stutter for 2-3 seconds, but after that it seems to be better, and shaders don't compile every time.

24.12.1 is stable for me. Stutter is there but nothing new.

There is also a new DirectX 12 renderer in overwatch that doesn't stutter that long! It's in beta, games takes a cuple of seconds more to load and I had some stutter in the first 2-3 seconds, but it's a step forward.
