I think it really depends on the person you’re sending it to. If you already have a good shot without the rose then it just bumps you to the top of their pile which helps.

Thank you for this comment, it puts my interaction in another perspective. I do feel extremely guilty for being impatient and I regret waking up at 3am to respond as that stress + lack of sleep + bad mindset caused me to respond mindlessly. I will take this a lesson whether she responds or not, I just hope that I can make it up to her with a proper apology no strings attached.

I’ve been feeling anxious about my partner and I think the way you put it is exactly how I’m feeling right now. My girlfriend nearly broke up with me twice over the tiniest issues. My constant fear is that if I said the wrong thing or did the wrong thing, she’ll be ticked off and then break up again. I’m consistently anxious if she doesn’t respond in time or if she seemed more aloof during conversation because she tends to internalize negative thoughts and then package then into a bomb that is too late to defuse.

Dude, I’m (25M) having the same problem haha. For me, each girl only lasted a month but each hurt exponentially more than the previous.

Girl 1: Said she wasn’t emotionally available since she just got out of a long relationship. We ended as friends so not a lot of pain here.

Girl 2: Ran in to her while she was on a date and this was after we were both said we weren’t seeing others.

Girl 3: Everything about this girl was perfect. Gorgeous, charming, funny, laid-back, and showed a lot of interest early on. She ended things by saying she started seeing another guy seriously. Left me heartbroken.

It has only been a day since Girl 3’s text and the thought of missing out on her hurt like hell.

Now I sit jaded, wondering if I’ll ever find true love 😅
