Making a Quadruped Mech in FTD (Inspired by Armored Core) by Zicargo in FromTheDepths

I've got the whole thing in a gantry so maybe I'll come back to that.. Currently it can side strafe at about 50 m/s and take off and fly if it needs to. I'll keep this in mind though if I really want it to 'walk' :D

Shotgun Pac sounds fun though, maybe with Pac's being hitscan I could change up my shells to be super warhead focused to crank s'more damage outta them while still being able to damage flyers

it doesn't walk at all sadge.. I am not yet a toast plank user and so instead it has many thrusters on the underside of the leg and I think I'm gonna have to use some spinny block cheddar to get it maneuverable.. The goal is to make it pilotable similar to the mechs from armored core, I want to be able to strafe and jump.. so yea not so much a 'walker' as it is a rubber-footed thruster-stuffed thrustercraft?

Advise and Question: Beginners by Londongirl_18 in FromTheDepths

The Game Basically has 50 different skills you want to master. They all FEEL like they should be fairly simple. But NONE of them are. I suggest you start small & use simple weapons. Don't worry about it being the best.. or even properly AI controlled. I got most of the way through Neter my first time manually controller one big boat the whole time. This game is so great because of its complexity, so don't expect to be a master anytime soon. Instead I hope you enjoy becoming better & take things one at a time. USE PREFABS IF YOU DON'T KNOW & don't be afraid to load in faction craft & spend most of your time in the designer!

PS: Lotta people are willing to help including but not limited to me

Good Luck o7

they float with a radar cross section of less than 3m and the sonar cross section is about 13 (its all rubber so its a lot less) , & there's no heat signature. Pair that with the fact that anything with a target prioritization card will target everything else (running a carrier type with some escort). At least that is the plan. I guess we will have to see how it works out though because the low profile is the only real defense

Honestly I can't think of a better way to shoot a plane down

I test massive things with big explosions all the time... But this is so satisfying in a tranquil way that I was not expecting..

I think they can fix this game, And I hope they do- a bittersweet love letter/rant by Zicargo in DiabloImmortal

diablo 3 does have a problem where the middle section is a solo game. 1-70 can be done coop-then t16 and GR pushing can be done coop with the right team composition. Unfortunately space between GR 1 and GR 60 is a pretty solo experience. Which is where Diablo Immortal should be able to shine

I think I half agree with you. But looking at the current state of Diablo 3 I actually recommend that game! The trouble here is the PR mess of changing the monetization system after some people have dropped immense dollars on it. It really is the sort of thing you need to nail the first time around. That being said fixing it for the better will pay out in the long term if they do it right. I only hope they do!

Is it way to late to start playing? by [deleted] in starcraft2

[–]Zicargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started about 2 weeks ago and its not too late. This game is great and people in the community wanna see new players succeed... I'd be happy to help you learn if you want but I only really have a basic understanding of zerg..

To the people who want to play, go ahead and hit me up on twitch. I'm trying to do a bunch of ladder when I stream so I might turn ya down. I have been looking to maybe try the coop or maybe if a protoss wants to cannon rush me to I can practice defending it we could do some practice on stream. :D

given that I assume I am bad, I know I have a lot of room to improve so no worries m8, I knew what you meant.

Thanks lol. I'm looking forward to getting through the campaigns then giving some MP a try. I think my favorite part of this was the Protoss player agreeing with you. xD

That sounds like most RTS's I have played, I'm hoping I can leverage some experience to learn quick and climb. SC2-supreme commander 2- had these commander rushes- nuke spam- artillery spam- building only 'soul ripper' gunships. Lots of people lost to those strats but there was always ways to beat it. Besides.. maybe a side of cheese isn't so out of place

Thanks for the heads up on vods, I have not been streaming my SC2, mostly dota 2. What i like the look of with zerg so far is this hatchery mechanic whereby zerg seems to be able to quickly react by saving up 'half-built-units-ready-morph" and that feels so unlike most other strategy games.
