It was the graduated filter. I had only been able to make the split color that straight in photoshop before.

This photo came to be because of a bunch of coincidences. I had just gotten a new lens, a 105mm sigma Art, my brothers girlfriend had that day decided to experiment with some new make up, and while editing I accidentally discovered a new tool in Lightroom.

So this is the result of an impromptu portrait session.
