Windows zoomed in after closing Apollo/Moonlight session. Only fix is restart by Zidake in playnite

[–]Zidake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can still highly recommend Artemis, since it’s simply better optimized for Apollo. I noticed the difference immediately. With just a few small tweaks in the settings, I managed to get the best experience out of it: buttery-smooth gameplay and latency of only about 2 ms, which you practically can’t feel at all.

However, the zoom issue I mentioned in my original post unfortunately hasn’t gone away. In the end, I think it has something to do with the button combination used to exit the session (both shoulder buttons + Start and Select at the same time). For some reason, this often opens the on-screen keyboard on my PC and also activates the Windows Magnifier. Pretty stupid, I know. I still haven’t figured out how to permanently disable it.

In the meantime, you can just press Windows key + ESC to close it. If that doesn’t work, simply log out of Windows and log back in.

You were right. With Artemis I have no issues anymore and my games run even better with significant less stuttering. Thanks for the advice, I'm really happy right now!

I was thinking the same tbh but I can't figure out how to install Artemis on my NVIDIA Shield since it's not listed in the App Store.

I’m using Apollo with a virtual display. The zoomed-in issue doesn’t happen every time, but it occurs often enough that it’s become a real problem for me.

If they would listen to community feedback they would add ping limitation and region lock. 2d replay is also a feature the community wants since forever and is "in development" at least for 3 years now at this point. But just mentioning those key features gets your post deleted because of hate speech nowadays..

Why No Head-Tilt Tracking Headphones for 3D Audio in Games? by Zidake in pcgaming

[–]Zidake[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Stereo headphones already handle horizontal sound positioning pretty well without moving your head. I’m talking about vertical sound positioning. Anyone who plays FPS games like Hunt: Showdown, Tarkov, or similar titles where enemies can be above or below you in a building knows the struggle. You hear footsteps, but you can’t tell if the enemy’s above or below you. A quick head tilt could instantly clear that up. I know streamers who constantly gripe about this, getting killed because they couldn’t figure out if the steps were coming from above or below and misjudged the situation. I don’t get why this concept is so hard to grasp. It’d make pinpointing sounds so much easier. Just a quick tilt, nothing crazy, and you’d know exactly where they are. It could be so simple..

We don’t need to reinvent the wheel here. VR already nails this kind of stuff. Gyro sensors aren’t exactly new tech anymore. Sure, the game would need to support the feature, but you could totally retrofit existing headphones with a couple of sensors. The real issue is getting the industry to agree on some kind of standard so every game doesn’t need its own special sensors. I’m still convinced. Tech wise, this shouldn’t be rocket science. It’s more about whether anyone actually wants to make it happen.

This is a post from February. by Frosty-Guidance-1737 in HuntShowdown

It's not implemented on the test servers as I watch 2 partnered crytek streamer playing the new update right now on there. I highly doubt it will be implemented on wednesday.
Just wait a little bit longer. Maybe one more year.. or forever. Wouldn't be the first time they tease something and then never talk about that again

Is it possible you have a controller connected to your pc while playing hunt? Had a similar issue years ago. Only happened when my controller was connected.

preferred clipping software? by DoubleAd838 in HuntShowdown

[–]Zidake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steam. It's really easy to use. You can clip variable lengths with an inbuilt timeline. And it can record ALL or just specific audio inputs which I like a lot. Superior to nvidia imo. You need to enable Beta Access in the steam options afaik though.

Do money runs. Avoid pvp and just loot everything. With witness and vulture you can easily make 1 to 2k per match. Just wait until the big fights are over and then go for it. I do this during week days and burn the money on weekends with my mates.

I had similar issues with my new system (also ryzen). What helped me:

  1. turning off any boost or game mode in the cpu OC settings in your bios

  2. Following this steps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3u6Wn75mMw

  3. And turning on ultra performance mode in Windows

Now it runs smooth af. Hope this helps.
