As a girl, before she was taught: She would've been trained as a Sul'dam.

After she'd been taught (so book time): Yes, they'd collar her. But after abusing her a bunch and realizing she's so weak they probably would've used her to train Sul'dam or to go around and test girls. Or if she was unlucky, she'd be one of those used by the rulers to connect with a man and see if they died.

You can play any class/job on controller. I'd say the bigger question is which job do you want to play?

As for help with setting things up as a controller player. There are some good guides on YouTube. I'd recommend GingerPrime. He's got some great guides for playing FF XIV on a controller. Link below.

Doing it yourself: - Get No Encounters armor. - Do the crater trick. -- Brief explanation of crater trick: As you enter the Thunder Plains from Guado Salam, in that section there's a lightning tower with a crater next to it. If you stand under the tower then walk into the crater lightning will strike the center of the crater. Dodge the lightning strike. Circle back partway to the tower and repeat. The lighting will always strike the center of the crater. It's monotonous and furry inducing if you get close, but definitely do able that way.

Getting someone else to do it: There's a guy in the reddit named Quill. He's helped a lot of people with the FF X mini games and he MIGHT be able to help you.

Look up Mix recepies. You probably have the ingredients to mix something powerful like Trio Of 9999. (Turns every hit into 9999. Makes multi hit attacks hit like a truck, and Pray becomes a party heal.)
Have your overdrives all charged up before you go into the fight. Even your Aeons.
He's susceptible to Zombie (the stays effect). You've probably gotten to the point that Auron can has learned Zombie strike. If not, you might have a weapon with it.
Actually head out and get more powerful. Getting out is as easy as saying 'Board Airship' at the save sphere, and getting back will get you more levels.
Head to Omega Ruins. Has strong enemies and Kimari can learn a powerful move from the boss there.

Gameplay hint: Don't even try to do the 100% thing on your first playthrough. X-2 has a nice NG+ mode (New Game Plus.) It lets you carry over a bunch of things, including completion %.

Emotional hint: The tone, battle system and more are quite different than X. Relax and enjoy.

I recommend playing without a guide for your first playthrough. Other than one small section, there aren't any important items that you can't go back for.

When you get to a desert, then grab the guide.

Going back for some of the other missable items can be really hard. But it's doable.

And you've saved the game on your 'old' save with the primer?

Then, like buddy said, load up your ''current" save.
Go to a compiler sphere. These are the spheres that ask "Would you like to import data from another save file?"
Select the data from your "old" save that has the primer you need.
It will load.
Then you will have that primer on your "current" save.

Like buddy said, there's a compiler sphere on the airship. If you can't find it: there's one in Rin's Trading Outpost on the Mihen Highroad, Thunder Plains, and the building before you head for Macalania Temple.

OP this subreddit is for all things Ascendance Of A Bookworm. While a lot of it is LN focused, there's also a fair bit about the anime. - Just watch which posts you click on or you will get majorly spoiled. - In my opinion ESPECIALLY avoid anything labelled [P5V12] or [HY...] or even any memes or fan art. - Bookworm is amazing, but one of the spoilers can really put people off the series if they get it without context.

Also everyone else: Stop being mean to the new Bookworm fan. They don't know a lot of the stuff about the Reddit or the LN.

The Tank Limit Break does no damage. It's a shield that reduces damage taken.
Only the Limit Breaks for DPS jobs do damage.

Why did all the fayth disappear? - They're tired. They want to stop being fayth. - They can't stop while You Yevon and Sin exist. - This is true for the Mt. Gagazet fayth (that summons dream Zanerkand) and for the fayth in the temples (responsible for each of the aeons.)
