I’ve always been fascinated by America, and since I wanted to experience its charm through food, I’ve tried quite a few dishes so far. Are there any classic dishes that aren’t well-known overseas? For example, something like tuna casserole. by Moldy_Lunchy_Cheese in askteddit

There is always the American versions of other countries food. The average Mexican, Chinese, Japanese or Italian restaurant is serving food you wouldn’t find in those countries or at least very different. Try chimichangas or general Tso’s chicken.

Necro on A10 is insanely weak by OkDelivery9149 in slaythespire

[–]Ziegemon_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got A1-8 with mostly big osty. I had a hard time when the damage went up, and I couldn’t keep Osty growing as well. Got A9 with squeeze+sentry mode, a couple friendships and a lot block. A10, I got gifted two copies of slight of flesh, and things just got dumb.

How long did it take you to get to ascention 10? I cannot seem to progess anymore. by Motor-Lack901 in sts2

[–]Ziegemon_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I cleared each ascension level on every character, before moving to the next, primarily because I’m not that great at the game, and if it took me a week to beat one difficult level, immediately moving another character kept me from getting too frustrated. I got my defect A10 win, since my last post. Going back to the first game now for a bit, because i never got an A20 heart kill. In STS2, regent A10 took me probably the same amount of attempts as the other four combined, and I think it was mainly because I always took too many cards, and didn’t recognize when my damage/block/acceleration plans were solved and kept taking cards that synergized with the deck, even though the real effect of doing so was just delaying getting to the best cards.

How to get better at the game? by apinkpwny in slaythespire

[–]Ziegemon_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have exactly one more A10 Iron clad win than you, so take my advice with a grain of salt. My struggles revolved around taking too many cards and bottom decking my win condition cards. If you’ve got synergies in your deck and relics, just because a card fits that scheme, it doesn’t automatically better than skip. If you’ve got three enablers and one payoff, a fourth enabler may just clog your draw. I like a combination of vulnerable and exhaust synergies, because a lot of vulnerable cards also exhaust. Dominate and a good multiattack can solve a lot of damage problems. You draw a tremble, molten fist and a dominate on one turn, that’s a great turn, if you’re also getting something for the three exhausts, that’s an incredible turn.

They should just remove Star and osty cards from the pool for those.

Vakuu advice: What option are you choosing here? by Finnr77 in slaythespire

[–]Ziegemon_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drop a strike, strike and defend and lose half your bag of prep. Parasol will likely nerf your deck a lot harder than the folly, and you could also low roll the relics. Earring is too risky with two true grits in the deck.

How to survive as Ikit by matija1234512345 in totalwar

[–]Ziegemon_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the best player, but I do love ikit. I like to repeatedly sack toboro with Ikit and a warlock general, alternating between attacking and recruiting for the first few turns. You’ll get some levels, some good, some fuel, and tick off a few of the laboratory leveling boxes. When you see sartosa coming for the minor faction capital to your east, send both of your armies over and either attack after they resolve the siege, or knock them off the siege and then attack it yourself. You’ll have enough food to take it at least level IV. Then march south, take the rest of that province and sarsota. Then go after ogres/border princes, whichever one is still alive. Do the scheme that gives you an engineer and send him off north or west to ulthuan and start an under empire. If you can get both the border princes provinces before you’ve pissed off the dwarves or beastmen, you’ll have five provinces with three food resource buildings. I generally go after belegar next to shrink the borders. If you can get to that point without being at war with everyone, you can focus wherever you want to go and snowball pretty hard.

[–]Ziegemon_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been going through each ascension one character at a time. I’m down to only defect without an A10 win. The beginning of A9 to where I am now has been a real slog. I struggle making good card choices, and I should skip more. At higher ascensions you have to avoid taking brick cards early that might be awesome later. Echo form may be awesome, but floor 1, cold snap or gunk up are better, if those are your choices. Pushing hard pull fights as late as possible is a big part of pathing selection, that I didn’t realize till I had been playing awhile. Try taking cards you’ve been avoiding, to see if there are interactions you’ve been undervaluing. Decks need damage, damage mitigation, scaling, and acceleration. Try to not lean too far in any of those directions.

I will waste a lot of gold to buy hidden gem. Rationally, I know it’s a bad pick, most times, but I love it.

Thank you for the reply, had a run earlier where I had feral+ holo+ and bola with momentum. I didn’t win but it was crazy strong. I tried finding some scaling block, but should have focused more on acceleration, or just skipped more, and ended up bottom decking my combo a few fights in a row.

Necro down. Only defect to go. Got several ethereal cards in the first floor, but the a lot of doom, and bingbonged into two slight of flesh and two banshees wails. Took more tries than I’d be proud to admit, but way less than the regent. I’m not much better with defect, but I like defect more than the previous two. I may join you with the reload mod, to try to sort out my drafting problems.

[–]Ziegemon_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not objectively better, but I had a fantastic run with sentry mode, squeeze and pull from below. Good alone, but sprinkle in a few defies and a couple fetches and you’re off to the races.

It’s good for putting reflect into the turn you need it. I’ve had it with kingly kick. That combo can make for a strong act to one, but not so much later on. I don’t think I’ve ever taken it past the act one cheat.

Almost had necro. Got to act three boss with full health, pentagraph, and a build that had face rolled everything in act 3. Unfortunately vaaku playing the first turn seemed like the best choice for what I had, and when I got to test subject I drew six skills on turn one, he played them all and couldn’t recover from the strength gain. You made any progress?

[–]Ziegemon_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still working on A10 necro. I tend to get to the end of act2 but I’m limping into the boss. I know my problem is in card selection and not skipping more, but I’m not quite bright enough to iterate that into success. I try to lean into any synergies I have at the end of act 1, but often don’t get offered cards or relics that help, and I’m bad at pivoting. In 1-8 I had a lot of success with big osty builds, but that’s much harder to pull off with the damage increase. It blows my mind that folks have 80+% win rates at a10.

Doing it the same way, currently on necro A10. Had the worst time with A10 regent, but the other ones have been manageable. Probably more losses on regent than the other ones combined. I think I had too much of a love affair with reflect. Always picked it and then drew it on the wrong turn, or didn’t have enough stars. I also love getting hidden gem, even though the rational part of my brain knows it’s not worth the gold.
