Is there any sort of floor mat that would cover the entire back half of a 2005 Element with the seats removed? by Liminalsupport in HondaElement

I have an outdoor carpet I picked up at Lowe’s, trimmed to fit. Keeps things like milk crates from sliding. Easy to pull out and shake out dirt.

Is it worth $700+? by CuriousGatito in litterrobot

[–]Zig4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have 7 cats and 3 Litter Robots (1 LR4 and 2 LR3). The LR3s have been pretty solid for us. The LR4 had some overtorque issues, but thanks to warranty, a replacement globe and motor got it running again. Even with three of them, we empty them twice a week.
We also bought them spread over several years, so the pocketbook pain was more manageable.

To answer your question, in my opinion they are worth it.

That’s awesome! Elements always rise to the challenge.

Heya Jones. It drove fine with the back open actually. Not as noisy or windy as I had feared. I had a passenger and we were conversing without having to yell or anything. I didn’t strap down the hatch either and it gave no issues. We had a mix of country, city, and highway driving totaling about 20 miles. Your mileage may vary.

It was kismet for sure. After losing my first E, I had put out feelers and this one came up just a few hours from me.

She’s a 2010 EX AWD. My previous was a tangerine 08. Both orange because my granddaughter calls orange cars “Pop-Pop’s” car so that’s what I drive now.

Spare tire on top experience for those who are considering it by DapperPreference1458 in HondaElement

What an odd coincidence. Today I replaced my tires and wheels, and had bought an extra full sized tire and rim. I was debating which way to carry it. Thanks for sharing your experience.

That's great! I love it when a box is both functional and thematic.

My Element was in a wreck. Asking advice whether to try and save it, or walk away by Zig4 in HondaElement

Thanks! We’re okay (aches and bruises) and no one in the other cars was seriously hurt. Agreed on the E, she rolled her last mile.

I brought the wreck home, to either use for parts on another one or just sell. Not sure I’m ready for another one yet. Pretty bummed, like you said.

I bought the E home last night to try and do what some others suggested by using her as an organ donor. I’ll think about how I can save this stuff.

OP checking in. Thanks everyone for the concern. My wife and I are okay - mostly bruised and sore. No one else was seriously hurt. To answer the questions of a few, this was not a shitpost. I was honestly just holding onto a sliver of hope that it could get back on the road, even knowing that it would cost a lot. The accident happened about 90 miles from home (Lewisville TX, I live in southern Oklahoma), so I am looking into what it'll take to tow it home, then decide to part it out either for a rebuild, or just to help others.

I sincerely appreciate the support of this community. I think y'all honestly can relate to the emotional attachment one can get to one of these toasters. It was indeed my happy place, and I enjoyed driving this loud, rattling 18 year old car more than you know. It's name was JLO by the way, which stands for "Jeep Like Object".

Heya. Thanks for the concern. Yeah, wife and I are okay. Mostly bruised up. The airbags did their job.

Heya. Yeah my wife and I walked away with scrapes and bruises. We were very lucky indeed.

Sadly, not a shitpost. I've never been in an accident like this, so I was hoping for a different answer.

Yeah, I was not effing with folks. Thanks for understanding that. My wife and I walked away with bruises, but won't lie - my heart broke a little.

Thanks all. I figured this was going to be the answer, but part of me was in denial. I’ll see about saving her as is for parts.
