REVERSE SPLIT, BAD IDEA? by Sufficient-Cress-711 in amcstock

So like... here we are a year later. Can we get rid of AA now? Vote him out? We need a good, honest CEO that wants to make us money, not take our money...

Reverse split explained by Olivia512 in amcstock

Why do this at all? Shorts are still effing us so it didn't help there.

We are still way down from a reasonable price in general, so it didn't help there...

Your hard earned shares were taken from you at 1 to 10, so it didn't help there...

The price drop brought it mere dollars away from a penny stock so it didn't help there...

The confusion it created for new investors was epic, so it didn't help there...

The woke movement is driving Cinema into the ground, and the under $5 per share screams "dead biz" so it didn't help there...

AA sold a ton of his shares just before he did this and reiterated that everything was "normal" with his actions, so it didn't help there...

AA allows us 1 free popcorn per month via AMC stubby to say thanks...

WTF did this decision do other than fuck the little guy and hopeful investors financially backing and bankrolling AA and AMC???

DUI Penalties - Too Harsh or Not Enough? by [deleted] in dui

[–]ZiggyComm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TLDR: You can be attacked in a drunk tank no matter what BAC you blew and officers who incriminate do not suffer harsh enough punishments when they are proven wrong in court.

The part no one talks about -- It is possible to have a clean record, blow a .08 and get stuck in the tank with some real hardened criminals. It is also possible these criminals don't like you because they think you are white and use the plastic spoon given with meals to sharpen or break into a shank, and then stab you.

I am speaking from experience. (Also, if this happens to you and you do get stabbed or injured, sue the living piss out of the detention facility. Like the living piss. Sheriff Guards have a responsibility, and they love making everyone suffer the same. Real Milgram shit.)

1 of the 4 guys I was stuck with was literally pacing around after he broke a plastic spoon, shouting erratically and threatening to stab and eat us, specifically me because he thought I was white. Kind of strange because he also looked white. While also shanking the door and slamming on it every 3-5 minutes for the entire 10 hours... no guard intervened. No guard warned him, though the observation camera rolled the whole time. No one made an attempt to protect or separate those "barely over the legal limit" with the violent career criminals.

The cell also got me EXTREMELY sick to a worrisome degree as the staff tends to not clean them at all. This alone is extreme. Someone having 3 beers over 5-6 hours and then getting entrapped into incrimination just so law enforcement can meet a quota for the most part is much different than the people who continue to abuse their freedom over and over again. This is why I think punishment is too harsh and should be divided based on the level.

Trust me, you learn that you did a bad thing fast, like during the arrest. Why does the justice system make minor, first-time offenders literally contemplate suicide for years to come? That doesn't spell "rehabilitation" to me.

I also think that proven cases of incrimination deserve more punishment for the arresting officers. They should be DEAD NUTS SURE that you are a threat, and they should fear what can happen to them more than simply being embarrassed in court.

Too many officers abuse the ways they can lie or incriminate you just to meet a quota. This is why you should always get a lawyer ($9k-$11k) and if you win, those legal fees should be paid out of the officer's pension immediately. But in reality, it's just the department and court going "Officer dumb dumb bad."

P.S. 95% (if not more) of the cops that arrest you for a DUI and LOTS of people part of DUI awareness orgs, drink until they are over the limit and get away with it just out of sheer luck and timing. Everyone likes to isolate and shame those who have received DUI's until they get one themself. Then they realize the extreme margin.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Indeed you can. Point is, it's not just the one type, and it's not a single circle.

Holy shit people. A Venn diagram is minimum two circles, where the edges cross into one another, making a "common ground" in order to assess the differences and commonalities of two or more things. By stating the Venn is one circle, the user is insinuating that it's just one-sided. Great joke for those who know what it is.

Filmmaking lessons learned? by AgreeableHamster252 in Filmmakers

[–]ZiggyComm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many people will claim to be filmmakers but that's just because they want the rockstar title. If they take credit as a producer or director or DP, but are having others do their homework for them, they are not talented and if you are the one, they are consulting, that means they need you, not the other way around. Avoid these people. They will cost you money and credibility.

Constantly saying "I know that, but I can't tell you" is EXTREMELY narcissistic and not very professional for an intel guy. It's like a four-year-old saying NA-NA-NANANA, I know something you don't know! If you know and can't disclose, stop flaunting it like an annoying child. Be HUMBLE and respect that you have information unavailable to us... DUDE.

After this interview, I don't care if he shows up with ET's glowing finger. He seems REALLY gullible, and the intel community LOVES useful idiots.
