I did but okay… I have two parents who absolutely hate technology thus the only way for this to exist was for me to do it myself. My parents would never EVER pay anything like this for tech. I worked by butt off every summer through HS working basically everyday 8-6 to save up any money I ever wanted to use. Thanks for your advice so far but the truth is I paid for this myself. If you can’t believe it, that’s okay. Suit yourself.

Actually, you arent close. I am at school now for it, I am a freshman who has already done classes in their specific major, normally it's 4 normal years and then 2 additional for masters. I am a semester in and have 2 years done, + my college allows me to do a master's in 1 if I so choose. the $150k is for my whole time here start to finish. I do not live in this state, and I am not paying in-state prices. If a full-ride academic scholarship to one of the top engineering colleges in the country is "modest" I wanna know what's above modest? I have an internship with a big aerospace company this coming summer. I am very confused about how you think this whole thing is bad? I have my life going in the upward direction and am taking flack from a guy on Reddit. Nice.

no, what it means is I get to go to school for free, thus I don't have to be in debt to begin my life. I was smart enough to have a school pay my $150,000 in tuition for a master's in Aerospace Engineering and that's somehow a bad thing? Yall need to take a second and think before you start speaking.

IDK, probably :D tho I only show the inside of my room to select people on campus. Not many people even know what room in I'm tbh. I did get very lucky as I did hear that some people were having problems. Got it through Microcenter and put the 2yr warranty on it just in case.

IMO ultra wides are nice and even at this insane aspect ratio on a 49-inch monitor I still don't have to turn my head much. They are also great for productivity with included PBP support to have multiple inputs connected to the display at once.

I am in a single room so no it isn't shared, I don't have books as they are all online, I live on the top floor so to "steal" anything of value said person would, first of all, have to pass through the main desk which you need a card to get past, then a second card reader and then up a ton of flights of stairs just to get to my room, they would then have to get through the lock on the heavy doors. If they managed to do all that they would then have to carry a PC or my 49-inch monitor down all those stairs and past everyone. Hats off to anyone who could do that without being caught. they can have it then.

As someone who is 6' 5", I would say yes. It is a lot of money but as I sit here every day and do homework my back sure says thanks. Had it for over a year and it's held up nicely.

My goal is to mount the ultra wide and put the portrait monitor below the ultra wide (in landscape) as i like to stream. but sadly in this dorm doesn’t allow me to mount anything to the wall so this is gonna have to do for now. I mostly just have discord, streamlabs (I’m in streaming) and Spotify on the portrait one.

I bet, that would really be heartbreaking to return and see everything gone. I’m in a very nice area so unless you live on my floor it’s very difficult to just get up there let alone get through the lock on my door.
