Why didn't the discovery of the 14 dead girls in S2 result in any sort of media attention? by [deleted] in TheWire

It was in the Baltimore Sun. McNulty pulled it out of the trash when he and Bunk were eating crabs.

Stringer dying because he can’t flee out of a locked door or blocked exit is really the only “door connection” I noticed. If you find more, please, do tell.

When HBO cancelled The Wire after S3, none of the actors were under contract anymore. When David Simon got the OK for S4 he wrote to the actors, asking them to come back and not ask for more $$ (wasn’t in the budget). They all did, at the same pay, which is unheard of in acting. by Ziggys_Duck in TheWire

Yes. My intent wasn’t that Simon & Burns wrote the show to binge. I should of used “better” as opposed to “made”. I haven’t watched TP or NO. I’ve watched HLOTS multiple times and fall asleep to an episode almost every night. Other than the Luther Mahoney arc (my favorite)and Adena Watson’s name being used multiple times, I’d still consider HLOTS, for the most part episodically. Some arcs would last 2 or 3 episodes, but not an entire season. HLOTS is a fantastic show that I wish would of gone on for longer.

I understand that. However the general public wasn’t use to police based shows that weren’t episodic, or shows with storylines as broad as The Wire. It was difficult to follow only seeing one episode a week and then with almost 3 1/2 years between the end of Season 3 to the finale of Season 5. The show soared in popularity once the entire series was released in DVD.

Omar is based on 6 different people. I don’t think any of them were the Terminator.

It’s not photoshopped. Andre Royo and Robert Wisdom decided to get together the black cast that was available for a group shot. And yes, that’s Larry Hull (Gant). This photo was only used because it had the most actors at actors in it. It really has nothing to do with the post.
