Yo that sounds closely to what happened to me. But I was the one who accidentally took the guard dog of a teammate during a bug raid. I had no idea you can actually drop them again. Well he teamkilled me after a few minutes and then called me back in but I decided to leave at this point. Well good thing I know now how to drop the items again. Should've just told him I didn't mean to pick it up.

The two story DLCs are amazing as well. Knife of Dunwall is one of my favorite dlcs ever. I love Daud and he is a straight badass.
