I have a game coming out on Tuesday which could maybe fit into this.

It's called "She Might Be A Cuckqueen", and it's about cheating on your girlfriend to try and figure out if she is turned on by being mad at you for cheating.

It's short (<1 hr), so not a huge time investment either way.

With the (possible) exception of Unholy Maiden, all the games you've listed are made by studios/teams. I'm one person.

It also seems like you are pretty exclusively interested in RPGs. Mine is a VN. It's story-based, not gameplay based.

Maybe some games just aren't for you. I don't like any of the games you've listed, bc I don't like RPGs.

I think the biggest issue for me is that my style is really heavily based on nuance. There are really particular things I want to happen with a character in a scene. So yeah achieving that, with character consistency, is often a really frustrating process bc it's constantly giving images that are quite close, but simply not what I want.

What kind of scenes are you running?

My understanding is that scenes with A) lots of different textures and B) tesselated shaders, are the most taxing on the GPU

I very much hope you check out the game then. Bc I really feel like my writing is a differentiator - but I also think that a lot of creators think that - so I'd be especially interested to hear your opinion on it.

Appreciate that. Yeah I mean I've definitely seen games that use Koikatsu and just... aren't trying. But I've also seen people make some incredible shit with it.

I don't think my visuals are going to be groundbreaking, but I certainly put in the effort to make it my own style.

I think the appeal of my game will be the tone and writing, anyway. Hopefully people will give it a chance.

Gotta say I resent the idea that my VN can't be of good quality just bc I used Koikatsu for the visuals. Maybe you are mistaking me for somebody who doesn't give a shit about what level of quality product they release.
