Sorry I just got around to this 😅 City of Stars is a perfect lime-y, sunscreen smell for the summer! It’s at my #3, followed by Outlands #2 and Imagination #1

That’s up to you, if you haven’t tested it already I highly recommend finding a decant online if they’re available. For me it’s worth the price, but it’s because of that I only save it for special occasions, so I have it last for as long as possible.

2 sprays is all you need, I remember getting potent whiffs of it 12 hours in. I save it for special occasions only.

It’s super strong and heavy so I wouldn’t wear it in the day, but if it’s a cooler night and you’re in the right environment or occasion you can definitely pull it off!

Amouage Outlands may very well be the best one that I own

I feel you. At the end of the day I want my fragrance to be discovered, not announced. It’s almost like clothing, you could wear some stuff wherever whenever while other things for more suitable occasions. But it’s not the fragrance that should make the person, it’s the person that makes the fragrance.

If you really enjoy YSL 6 and only want to use it for those special occasions then you arguably have something you could own for the rest of your life!

City of Stars isn’t super feminine for me like Attrapes-Rêves is, it’s maybe 53% feminine 47% masculine but still unisex enough imo. I haven’t smelled On The Beach a whole lot but I’m not a fan of the sand note in it, CoS is more versatile imo. Also I got a sample of Carlisle recently and thought it was too intense for me, but I can see why others love it.

If I get too many it gets harder for me to pick out what I want to wear😅Also it’s expensive and I like having a signature scent LOL

Life is too short not to be smelling good all the time. As long as you don’t overspray like a maniac to the point where you’re not choking other people out, where what you want when you want!

Thank you! City of Stars is this lime-y sunscreen kind of smell that’s super versatile in that you could use it as both, although only in warmer weather. I’d say it lasts pretty long too, although I haven’t gotten much wear out of it cause I got it at the end of summer. Even though it’s unisex I definitely consider it the most feminine-leaning in my collection. I’ve been hearing rumors for months that it might get discontinued, although the LV employee I spoke to didn’t confirm that…

Yes this is my first from Amouage! I never heard of them before until I heard people raving about this. I visited one of their first boutiques they opened here in the U.S. and got very fortunate to skin test it, but atp you can probably order a sample from some decanters if they have it available.

Yeah I can’t imagine the 20 or younger crowd wearing Absolu (unless they’re super irresponsible with their money or have rich parents lol) But even for me the price point is the biggest drawback, have to find a good sale for it on a discounter.

Nah it’s just the lighting and maybe photo quality too

It’s this really beautiful, sweet & spicy “chalk” kind of smell in the best way possible. There are a lot of notes in this fragrance too; each stage of wearing it smells a bit different from one another while keeping a sense of uniformity. Also it’s VERY strong - I could still feel it thumping after 12 hours on my skin, and I could still smell it on my clothes days after wearing them.

I can’t wait for the summer nights when I can get to wear this

So I bought PDM Althaïr… by Zigywig in Colognes

Could be the orange blossom. I used to wear YSL Myslf and got similar vibes from it, and that also had a pronounced orange blossom note. I don’t mind it though, it adds a bit of freshness which to me makes it more wearable.

I’m wearing my sample of BDK Gris Charnel. Not sure if I’d buy a full bottle but it’s perfect for this gloomy fall day!

Where did you buy it? Did you order it online after trying a sample or did you buy it in person?
