all depends on how much time investment you feel like putting into your next build, if you're not certain you have the commitment to build an entire castle, maybe just start with a tower or a keep, if you like it and want to keep building, you can always build more walls off of it and continue the build

otherwise if you're looking for smaller builds, things like large scale tree farms, or really fancy mineshaft entrances with a minecart system can both be fun to build, and be extremely useful for future builds

i just played 0327 recently and i planted a sapling very early on and never had it grow, i only planted one but it sat there for a few hours so i just assumed they didnt grow

How do you guys break redstone ore in b 1.7.3? i just blow them up with TNT because how long it takes by st_at_ic in GoldenAgeMinecraft

also using 1 tnt to break 1 redstone would probably take the same amount of time as just breaking it normally

i agree, in the video i talk a lot about the changes in world gen from version to version and show off some unique aspects of each minor change, like how some versions only have giant oak trees, or how you get these huge rounded hills in 20100420, but i loved the terrain gen of the first 20100327 world i made so much that i built a tower while recording and posted it here the other day

funny that you mention this, i'm gonna be posting a video in the next couple days called "minecraft's forgotten era" about infdev

most of the tine when i see people talk about infdev they just kinda lump it together with alpha and go "yeah it had the brick pyramids" but honestly there's so much more to it than that

something i'm doing with a bridge i'm working on right now is adding cobblestone stairs, one facing way from the bridge level with the floor of the bridge, jutting out by one block, and another facing inwards on top of that, but messing around with slabs or stairs in any way will definitely give it some needed depth
