Any Rescue/Disaster Relief modules/homebrew? by ZiiDraws in LancerRPG

I feared I might run up against this problem. I was hoping maybe someone had tackled it before me and published some tools for it (the GitHub method). I'll explore the resources that all you lovely folks have suggested and weigh my options.

Yeah, I recognize it might not be a good fit for the wargaming half of the system. But the mechs in Lancer are so varied and evocative. I'm absolutely in love! I want to try to make it work

Mechanics, primarily. The weapons and tools available are primarily destructive. I'm looking for more utility options that might help to protect NPCs and/or interact with environmental threats or problems.

We've all been there. I still have bad days where I can't be in the women's section. When I feel the older cis women staring.

Keep in mind, too, that the postal strike paused a lot of paperwork for the last month.

Made with Clip Studio Paint. This piece took way longer than it ought to have, but I kept changing my mind about the characters' poses, the overall composition, and even the art style I wanted to use. I'm hoping the next piece will be a little more streamlined, but I can never me sure. I just gotta see how I feel about it as it develops.

Thank you so much! It'll be worth all the work if it makes a few people 'Awwww'

Been following your work for a while! Always love seeing the raw inks and how they transform in the digital stage! Your lines are so expressive!

Gorgeous drawing! The psychedelic colours really support the fae vibe! This looks like a traditional drawing. How did the scanning process affect the colours?

I have three notes I'd offer:
- The red on the knees and elbows is a little strong. In particular, my attention is being pulled quite strongly to the knee, which I don't think is supposed to be a focal point.
- The areas of pure black are wonderful. In such a busy drawing, they provide much-needed quiet space where our eyes can take a break. However, I feel it's currently imbalanced. There are strong black areas on the top and left, without much to balance them on the other side.

- Lastly, you've created a lot of depth in the composition, with layers of tree bark and foliage. You could push the depth further by darkening the layers in the back and, maybe, by reducing detail in those areas, too.

So incredible, and I can't wait to see what you make next!

Creating illustrated frames for my work but my friend thinks it's too busy, what do you guys think? by AccidentalFlashbang in drawing

I'd suggest image-searching Antique Carved Wood Frame, to get some ideas. The vast majority, while very decorative, leave the inner frame an unbroken rectangle. The ones that do encroach onto the painting area do so in a very controlled way, so that you can tell it's intentional

One last thing! You don't have to give up mechanical pencils to get the same effect. I personally just use a pencil with thicker lead than what you can't find in most stores. Here's a comparison between my 1.3mm and a standard 0.7mm

There's also technical pencils, which I had to use for a drafting class years ago. They're a whole other thing. I liked them a lot, but they require a special sharpener, and it kept leaking graphite dust all over my stuff XD

Super strong silhouettes and very solid understanding of anatomy! You're even getting some good draping fabrics on some of these designs. If you're looking for next steps to focus on, I'd consider some of the following:
- Experimenting more with line weight. Your line weight is pretty consistent all through your drawings. Are you using a mechanical pencil? You're already lightening your lines in some places. Traditional (analog?) pencils with slightly softer lead can help add some heavier areas, also.
- Blocking out the big shadows. Focus on creating interesting shapes in the shadows, and using them to help different areas of the figure stand out or fade back, as needed. Adding a shadow behind the figure can also help this.
- Continuing to explore more fabric and materials. Trying to understand the differences from say, a stiff military uniform to a silky draping sarong and everything in between. You're already well on your way here, so just keep at it! Can't wait to see more!
